What is SSP?

SSP stands for Sending Service Provider.

Sending service providers (SSPs) are ATO certified service providers who transmit data to the ATO via the ATO Standard Business Reporting (SBR) ebMS3 messaging standard. STP Creator was originally developed to use a SSP to send the data to the ATO.

The SSP used by STP Creator is Single Touch Pty Ltd - note that a fee is payable to the SSP for each transmission to the ATO.

Namich has recently added the ability to send the data directly to the ATO using Standard Business Reporting (SBR), this means those using SBR no longer need to pay a transmission fee to the SSP. An SBR Licence is required to use SBR.
